Los padres de Sofía Herrera han convocado a una concentración al cumplirse trece años de la desaparición de la pequeña. La misma se realizará en la intersección de las avenidas San Martín y Belgrano, a partir de las 17:00 de este martes.
Hoy se cumplen trece años de la desaparición de la pequeña Sofía Yasmín Herrera y sus padres organizaron una concentración sobre la intersección de las avenidas San Martín y Belgrano a las 17:00, donde se espera que los padres encabecen un acto en el lugar de la concentración, por lo que pidieron colaboración y acompañamiento de todos los vecinos de Río Grande.
Los padres de la pequeña desaparecida en 2008 del interior del camping John Goodall, a unos 55 kilómetros al sur de Río Grande, buscan poder contar con el apoyo de la sociedad, tal como ocurriera en las primeras marchas que se realizaron, pero que con el correr del tiempo los fueron abandonando, a tal punto que en una de las últimas marchas sólo se presentó un puñado de personas; una situación muy diferente a las más de tres mil que acompañaron la primera noche donde se pidió por la aparición de la pequeña que hoy estaría a tres meses de cumplir los 17 años.
La madre de la pequeña indicó que “Ya se cumplen 13 años de que no tenemos a Sofi y nosotros la seguimos buscando siempre, como desde el primer día y siempre la estamos esperando”.
En relación a la investigación, la madre sostuvo que “ya lamentablemente 13 años y nadie supo encontrar a mi hija Sofía, ni nosotros, ni la justicia; es lamentable. Es una fecha muy dolorosa para nosotros”. Asimismo, agregó que “vamos a seguir siempre detrás de cada pista que haya, por más pequeña que sea, reaviva la esperanza. Siempre llegan datos a mi Facebook o a mi teléfono, la gente de cualquier punto del país, la gente envía algún dato, alguna foto parecida de Sofi, la Policía lo trabaja, pero lamentablemente hasta el día de hoy no se ha tratado de Sofi”.
Por otro lado, María Elena indicó que la causa “está muy parada, no hay investigación. El año pasado salió el pedido de captura internacional del nómade ‘Espanta la Virgen’, José Dagoberto Díaz, quien es una persona chilena, que no se sabe si puede estar en los campos fueguinos, como siempre vivió así, que cruza caminando hacia la Tierra del Fuego chilena, por lo que no sabemos si puede estar del otro lado. Todavía no lo han podido encontrar a más de un año de que ya salió el pedido de captura”.
María Elena aclaró que mantienen contacto directo y permanente con la Policía de investigación, la justicia cada tanto; “pero nada a trece años de que Sofía se encuentra desaparecida. Es lamentable, pero la difusión sigue, los medios nacionales y provinciales siempre me han ayudado en todos estos años y ojalá que sea así hasta que la encontremos a Sofi y nosotros no perdemos la esperanza”.
Finalmente, sostuvo que “es una sensación de incertidumbre a tanto tiempo sin saber nada, lo único que sabemos que alguien se la llevó, que fue al azar, que era algo que no estaba pensado, que estábamos en el lugar y en el momento equivocado, que podría haberle pasado a cualquier nene o nena fueguina. Acá en la isla nunca había pasado algo así hasta que pasó”, concluyó.
