Con una sentida historia de crecimiento y desarrollo, la columna radial de Un Gran Día recibió en esta oportunidad a una licenciada en psicología que hoy oficia en el área de Salud Mental del municipio.
A diez días de nacer en la Capital del país, María Paula Gigliotti llegó con su familia a Río Grande en busca de una proyección laboral y de crecimiento económico que, en ese momento, era común para un lugar como nuestra provincia. Desde entonces, se creció y se forjó su sentimiento fueguino.
Hoy es licenciada en Psicología y trabaja asiduamente en el área de Salud Mental del municipio, además de dar clases en terciarios de la ciudad, y relató su historia para el programa radial Un Gran Día que se transmite por ((La 97)) Radio Fueguina.
“Transité todos los momentos de mi crecimiento en Río Grande, desde la Calesita Encantada hasta la Escuela 2. Lo lindo de vivir en un lugar como este es que, a pesar de su crecimiento exponencial, sigue permaneciendo el sentido de pertenencia de aquellos que estamos hace tanto tiempo”, comenzó narrando María Paula, que destacó que aún a día de hoy se encuentra con sus seños del jardín y escuela con quien cruza saludos.
Posteriormente hizo parte del secundario en el CIERG y los últimos dos años en el Centro Polivalente de Arte. Fue en esta instancia, a los 14 años, cuando a partir de una materia del colegio encontró su interés por el área de Recursos Humanos.
“Después eso no se sostuvo a lo largo de mi cursada, pero ahí empecé a delinear la carrera que quería hacer”, indicó.
“En ese momento no estaba presente la oferta académica que hay hoy en la ciudad, entonces estaba entre hacer lo que es magisterio o docencia inicial, pero lo que me interesaba era la psicología”, relató María Paula, quien luego de finalizar el secundario en 2013 esperó a su hermana más chica para viajar juntas a Mar del Plata a estudiar.
“Mar del Plata es una ciudad muy amena, que recibe a los jóvenes de otros lugares porque muchos son de los pueblos de alrededor, así que me encontré con gente en una situación similar a la mía y facilitó el tránsito de generar esa autonomía”, recordó alegre.
“Fue una experiencia linda y de mucho crecimiento, es una ciudad que permite eso, tiene muchos espacios que logran que los jóvenes puedan integrarse”, destacó y particularmente mencionó algunas experiencias que hacen al tránsito académico para los estudiantes fueguinos distinto al de los nacidos en el continente:
“La distancia hace que las experiencias no sean lo mismo que el resto, por ejemplo, a mis amigas las podían venir sus familiares cuando tenían un final. Sin embargo, logré generar otra familia con mis amigos y mi red”, mencionó.
“El día que me recibí pude hacerlo con algunas de mis amigas, un proyecto sobre Psicología Educacional”, relató María Paula quien luego, al momento de rendir su tesis al haber un problema de comunicación y fechas con la institución no pudo avisar a sus padres con tiempo, por lo que debieron conocer por teléfono que su hija finalmente logró ser psicóloga.
“Luego, cuando rendí la tesis llamé a mis papás para decirles que me recibí, fue muy emotivo”.
En este punto, María Paula habló sobre algunos pormenores de su recorrido académico: “Soy una persona exigente conmigo misma, entonces padecía los finales, estudiaba mucho. A veces me llamaban y me decían que me presente de una vez, porque siempre sentía que nunca alcanzaba o era suficiente. Pero al ser un proyecto familiar tenía el peso de responder a todo lo que habían trabajado y se habían esforzado para cumplir mi sueño”.
“También soy muy ahorradora, sobre todo porque tenía una exigencia propia de cuidar el dinero. Entonces comía fideos todos los días, pero era muy feliz”, rememoró.
En el tercer año comenzó a trabajar para la Universidad a partir de becas de extensión que posibilitaron que se desarrolle en el trabajo con la comunidad que tanto le interesaba. Luego, de recibirse permaneció un año más en Mar del Plata, trabajando para una ONG.
Al volver se encontró que había mucho trabajo, por lo que ingresó en educación primero y luego pudo ser parte de un novedoso dispositivo de carácter territorial del municipio. Actualmente trabaja en educación dando clases en terciarios y en el área de Salud Mental de la Municipalidad.
“Este es mi lugar de origen, donde se me permite crecer laboralmente. No es igual la situación de la provincia que en otras, acá se puede trabajar en condiciones amables para desarrollar la tarea de manera tranquila, hay estructuras armadas y el trabajo es registrado”, destacó María Paula, asegurando que se siente parte de una comunidad que apuesta al crecimiento.
