Este lunes, en horas del mediodía, se dispuso la liberación de Mario Germán Álvarez y Sergio Germán Gómez; acusados de asesinato. Ambos siguen reclamando que no cometieron el crimen que sucedió en la Margen Sur.
RÍO GRANDE.- Ayer al mediodía quedaron en libertad Mario Germán Álvarez, de 43 años, Sergio Germán Gómez, de 22 años, las dos personas que estaban alojadas en la Unidad de Detención, por el caso del doble crimen ocurrido el 3 de febrero de 2024 en el interior de una vivienda en la Margen Sur.
Cabe recordar que la madrugada de ese día, dos personas fueron encontradas sin vida: un exconvicto Miguel López Villarroel y Norma Gómez.
Tal lo anticipó El Sureño, al cumplirse un año de este sangriento hecho y debido a que aún no se definió la realización del juicio oral, porque faltan informes pedidos por la Fiscalía, se dio cumplimiento a lo que establece el Código Procesal Penal, que indica que nadie puede permanecer detenido más de 365 días sin ser juzgado.
“Se cumplió el plazo de la prisión preventiva, tal lo establece el Código Procesal en el artículo 285”, expresó a El Sureño la abogada Verónica Varisco, que representa a los recientemente liberados.
En el expediente hay tres personas imputadas: Álvarez y Gómez, quienes ayer recuperaron su libertad y una joven que en el momento del episodio tenía 17 años, y que ya cumplió su mayoría de edad.
“La joven no estaba detenida -explicó Varisco- por una cuestión de que era menor, estuvo en el hogar y como estaba embarazada -tuvo restricciones para salir de la provincia y del país-, pero siempre estuvo en libertad”.
La abogada indicó que “desde la Fiscalía se pidieron medidas de pruebas. Que se analice el perfil genético y huellas dactilares de dos elementos que hay secuestrados. Son dos cuchillos y de acuerdo con los informes, hubieran tenido la entidad de provocar las lesiones a Villarroel. Pero no hay restos genéticos que coincidan con ninguno de los imputados”, aclaró Varisco.
“Se hizo la investigación de la sangre, pero no hay huellas dactilares ni rastros de piel en esos elementos. Esperamos la nueva medida de pruebas”, destacó.
Otro dato importante que indicó Varisco, refiere a que en la madrugada del crimen, también hubo la participación de tres menores de edad. Al respecto señaló “hay tres menores más que estuvieron en ese momento, pero por sus edades son inimputables”.
La abogada indicó que sus tres defendidos son inocentes de la acusación que enfrentan y expresó “uno de los imputados, Mario (Álvarez), tenía en ese momento un elevado porcentaje de alcohol en su sangre. Al querer ingresar a la vivienda, rompió un vidrio y por eso derramó mucha sangre. Cuando él entra a la casa, López Villarroel ya estaba muerto”.
Finalmente, Varisco subrayó: “Todos mantienen sus posturas, de que ninguno mató a López Villarroel”.
