La obra “refuerza el compromiso del Municipio con el desarrollo urbano y la justicia social, al facilitar acceso igualitario a servicios básicos en todos los sectores de la ciudad”, dijo el intendente Daniel Harrington.
El Municipio continúa avanzando en la expansión de las redes de gas en la ciudad, con la reciente finalización de la obra para completar la cobertura en el Barrio 9 de Octubre. Esta nueva infraestructura beneficiará a 14 familias, sumando un total de 490 personas conectadas a la red de gas natural.
La obra fue licitada a principios de año y se concretó a pesar de la veda invernal, debido a la necesidad de garantizar este servicio esencial para los vecinos. Forma parte de una inversión total de 120 millones de pesos, con el objetivo de que, hacia fin de año, se haya alcanzado la conexión para aproximadamente 650 familias.
Hasta la fecha, se invirtieron alrededor de 1.200 millones de pesos en obras de infraestructura vinculadas al gas, utilizando en su totalidad fondos propios del Municipio.
Con estos trabajos, el Municipio asegura el acceso a un sistema de calefacción más seguro y económico.
El intendente Daniel Harrington resaltó la importancia de esta obra no solo por la mejora en la calidad de vida de los vecinos, sino también porque “refuerza el compromiso del Municipio con el desarrollo urbano y la justicia social, al facilitar acceso igualitario a servicios básicos en todos los sectores de la ciudad”.
“Nuestro objetivo es seguir garantizando el acceso a servicios esenciales como el gas natural, lo que no solo significa una mejora en las condiciones de vida, sino también un alivio económico para muchas familias que, a partir de ahora, podrán acceder a un sistema de calefacción más seguro y sustentable”, expresó Daniel Harrington.
Esta iniciativa se enmarca en un plan más amplio que contempla la expansión de la red en diferentes barrios de la ciudad, consolidando a Tolhuin como una ciudad en crecimiento que, con recursos propios, trabaja por la inclusión y el bienestar de todos sus habitantes.
