El día de hoy a las 16:00, se llevará a cabo la reinauguración oficial de la histórica Cancha Municipal de Césped Sintético con un acto protocolar encabezado por el Intendente de Río Grande Martín Perez, junto a miembros de la Agencia Municipal de Deportes. Esta emblemática cancha ha sido testigo del paso de innumerables jugadores de prestigio, quienes serán bienvenidos a la fiesta de apertura.
En esa línea, el evento se centrará en las divisiones formativas, por lo cual, las escuelitas de la Dirección de Deportes protagonizarán una serie de partidos amistosos. Además, un plantel de jugadores de 10 a 12 años provenientes de Río Gallegos se enfrentará a un equipo local, compuesto por jóvenes que entrenan en las escuelas municipales.
La renovación de la cancha ha sido integral con el objetivo de ofrecer a los vecinos de Río Grande un espacio deportivo de primer nivel homologado por la FIFA. Las obras incluyeron un extenso trabajo de movimiento de suelo y la instalación de un sistema de drenaje.
A principios de 2022, el intendente Martín Perez había anunciado la compra de césped sintético, marcando el inicio de los trabajos de renovación “no podíamos dejar la cancha en el estado en que se encontraba, por eso decidimos repararla», afirmó en ese momento momento.
En mayo de este año, Perez recorrió las instalaciones y expresó su entusiasmo por la pronta apertura de la cancha “estamos felices de inaugurar próximamente una cancha de estas características para los pibes y pibas de nuestra ciudad. El deporte es salud, es calidad de vida, y recuperar este espacio nos da muchísima alegría».
A partir de esta reinauguración, se espera que el campo de juego albergue partidos de las máximas categorías, incluyendo encuentros de la AFA y el Torneo Regional Federal Amateur. Las instalaciones, ubicadas en las calles Piedra Buena y Obligado, también serán reacondicionadas por la Liga Oficial de Fútbol para este fin.
Se espera una fiesta de presentación emotiva, con la gran familia del fútbol de Río Grande reunida para celebrar la apertura de este flamante campo de juego.
