La Justicia Federal chubutense aún no decide qué hacer con las «sales de baño» que se le encontraron al exsecretario de Gobierno de Ushuaia, Eduardo Barrientos.
Futuro incierto tiene la causa iniciada hace dos semanas en Chubut y que derivó en la separación de su cargo del entonces secretario de Gobierno del Municipio de Ushuaia, Eduardo Barrientos, quien fue acusado de traficar una peligrosa droga sin precedentes en la Argentina.
La Policía de aquella Provincia había difundido que el exfuncionario había sido detenido con unos 250 gramos de «sales de baño», un poderoso psicoactivo sin precedentes en la Argentina y que produjo estragos en los Estados Unidos hace años: por ello es que una de las maneras coloquiales de llamar a este estupefaciente es «droga zombie».
Sin embargo, a dos semanas de aquel procedimiento, las muestras secuestradas aún no han sido enviadas a laboratorio, confirmaron fuentes oficiales vinculadas a la causa ante la consulta de ((La 97)) Radio Fueguina.
Ni siquiera está claro si esos peritajes pueden realizarse con las herramientas disponibles en el distrito o bien se deberá solicitar la intervención de personal especializado de la Capital Federal.
Sin ese resultado, la investigación se encuentra estancada y todavía está siendo evaluada por la Fiscalía Federal de Rawson, que interviene tras la derivación del Juzgado Federal 2 de esa ciudad.
En función de ello, se determinará qué sucede: o bien se avanza con la imputación y el correspondiente llamado a indagatoria a Barrientos, o se desestima todo por la inexistencia de delito. Y a esta hora todo se inclina hacia la segunda posibilidad.
Es que no es un hecho menor que ocurrieron pormenores extraños en el procedimiento, como que el exlegislador peronista haya sido inmediatamente liberado (en realidad, nunca fue detenido) tras el decomiso de los «estupefacientes», a pesar de su peligrosidad.
Más aún si se tiene en cuenta que debía seguir su camino hacia Ushuaia, teniendo que superar de manera obligada otro paso fronterizo, luego de traer ese elemento desde Brasil, de acuerdo a su propia confesión. El listado de curiosidades concluye con un facto que roza lo ridículo: a Barrientos no se le peritó ni mucho menos se le secuestró el teléfono celular, como sucede en casi en la totalidad de los diligenciamientos por violación a la Ley de Estupefacientes 23.737.
Por ahora la causa aparece sin definición y los medios de la zona, que calificaron al hecho como un «escándalo mayúsculo» han olvidado completamente el tema, al menos por lo que se puede ver en las principales publicaciones de la provincias de Chubut y Río Negro
