La Municipalidad de Ushuaia, a través de la Subsecretaria de Relaciones Internacionales, Asuntos Antárticos y Malvinas, participó en la reunión convocada por el Gobierno provincial a fin de coordinar las acciones conmemorativas y homenajes previstos por distintas instituciones de Tierra del Fuego para el 40° aniversario de la gesta de Malvinas.
La titular del área municipal de Relaciones Internacionales, Asuntos Antárticos y Malvinas, María Cecilia Fiocchi, manifestó al respecto que “estamos convencidos de que Malvinas nos une y por eso creo que esta instancia es fundamental para trabajar en las que serán las propuestas que las diversas instituciones tienen planificadas llevar adelante en el marco de los 40 años de Malvinas”.
Además, apuntó que el próximo 2 de abril “nos encontrará en la Ushuaia, capital de Malvinas, con una propuesta de actividades diversas para continuar malvinizando de la mano de nuestros veteranos de guerra”, y también “rindiendo homenaje a cada uno de los caídos en Malvinas”.
“El intendente Walter Vuoto ha pedido que este año trabajemos fuertemente para llevar el mensaje por los 40 años de la Gesta a cada rincón de la ciudad, y que sirva de faro de encuentro para los argentinos y argentinas y un símbolo contra el colonialismo en el mundo” finalizó Fiocchi.
