La Dirección Nacional de Epidemiología publicó el Boletín Epidemiológico correspondiente a la semana 34, el cual arrojó que en la provincia de Tierra del Fuego hay en total 269 notificaciones de casos de dengue, de los cuales 117 son confirmados.
En el documento difundido ayer por el mencionado organismo, se desprende que en el sur del país contando las 5 provincias patagónicas (excluyendo a La Pampa) los casos totales son 1.467.
Santa Cruz lidera el primer puesto con 494 totales, de los que solo 129 fueron confirmados por laboratorio. En segundo lugar y siempre hablando de infecciones confirmadas quedó Neuquén con 128, tercero Tierra del Fuego con 117, cuarto Chubut con 29 y quinto Río Negro con 24.
Para la provincia de La Pampa hay dos casos posiblemente autóctonos en investigación. Cabe aclarar y mencionar que en el sur de la Patagonia no está presente el vector transmisor del virus que se trata del mosquito aedes-aegypti, por lo cual es inviable que se registren casos autóctonos en Tierra del Fuego.
A nivel país la provincia de Buenos Aires se encuentra por amplio margen con la mayor cantidad de casos de dengue confirmados, al registrarse para el mismo período informado 31.758, seguido de Tucumán con 28.844, CABA con 24.458 y en cuarto lugar Santa Fe con 19.298.
