Ocurrió en la esquina de las calles Yámanas y Provincia Grande, en Ushuaia.
El día miércoles 11 de octubre, a las 6.30 aproximadamente, personal bomberil del Cuartel Central y efectivos policiales de la Comisaría 2da., fueron convocados a una vivienda de dos plantas sita en la intersección de las calles Yámanas y Provincia Grande, en Ushuaia, de la que emergía humo y fuego.
Al llegar los servidores públicos fueron informados de que no había personas en el interior del inmueble, haciéndose presente posteriormente su propietario, Eugenio Copa Calderón, de 58 años de edad.
En forma preventiva, los vecinos de las viviendas lindantes fueron evacuadas, no registrándose personas afectadas por el humo ni las llamas.
Una vez extinguido el siniestro, ingresó al lugar una comitiva de peritos bomberiles, determinando finalmente que se trató de un hecho “hipotético accidental”.
