La empresa Newsan anuncio que comenzó la producción de computadoras para cumplir con la adjudicación de producción de 108 mil equipos para abastecer al programa federal de educación Juana Manso. Desde hacía una semana, la empresa ya venía entrenando a un grupo de operarios incorporados para este fin y ayer recibió equipamiento para producir las placas para este nuevo desafío.
“Actualmente al Planta 3 fabrica las placas para todo lo que hace Newsan en televisión, aire acondicionado y microondas. No nos daba la capacidad para agregar las computadoras, por lo que debimos incorporar estas nuevas máquinas para poder fabricar las placas y las memorias ram de las computadoras para el programa Juana Manso”, explicó Facundo Bianciotto, a cargo de la producción.
«Tienen un procesador Celeron mucho más moderno, 4gb de memoria RAM, un disco SSD (estado sólido) de 240 gigas, y la pantalla es un poquito más grande. Se parece mucho más a las computadoras que vemos hoy en el mercado, que son más finas y livianas», sostuvo el ingeniero.
“Vamos a fabricar unas mil computadoras por turno. En primer término se trabajará en un turno, pero probablemente después pasemos a trabajar en dos, por lo que esperamos poder producir 2 mil computadoras por día”.
“Este es un hito en el cual estamos volviendo a producir computadoras en Tierra del Fuego. La primera fabricación desde que se cayeron los proyectos de computación en la Argentina. Inicialmente la escala es más chica porque estamos empezando de nuevo y con mucha expectativa de que siga creciendo”.
Según explicó Banciotto, estas computadoras destinadas al Ministerio de Educación Nacional, van a tener un nivel de bloqueo no tan exahustivo como las anteriores, pero todas las computadoras salen de la fábrica vinculadas al programa Juana Manso.
“Cuando las fabricamos, una parte del proceso de fabricación es vincularla con el servidor del programa nacional y quedan todas trazadas, vinculadas e identificadas y bloqueadas para el programa, lo que no quita que se le pueda agregar más software y usarla para otras cosas”.
La compañía, que antiguamente llegó a fabricar 500 mil computadoras al año, espera que este nuevo comienzo, impulse otra vez la producción de nuevas marcas de computadoras en la provincia.
“Hace una década, todo comenzó con el programa Conectar Igualdad y con ese know how fuimos evolucionando hacia otras empresas y a otro tipo de marcas internacionales que venían a fabricar a Tierra del Fuego”.
