Sorpresivamente el actual concejal por Rio Grande, el medico Walter Abregu, anuncio su candidatura a intendente de Rio Grande por el PJ con el impulso de la Agrupación 25 de Febrero.
Incluso el edil en dialogo con Radio Provincia de Ushuaia, donde manifestó que daba la primicia de su decisión de postularse como candidato a intendente de Rio Grande, la cual se lo había informado al presidente del PJ, el intendente de Ushuaia, Walter Vuoto con quien tiene una excelente relación, indico el edil riograndense.
Abregu que actualmente se desempeña como concejal electo, dijo que tiene nulo contacto con el intendente de Rio Grande, Martin Perez, el cual también es incluso autoridad partidaria en el zona norte de la provincia por el PJ. Con Perez solo tengo trato de caracter institucional.El edil mencionó que “es una idea que hace mucho venimos pensando, desde el espacio que formamos parte estamos trabajando”. “Ya en el pasado mi nombre estuvo pensado para ser candidato a concejal y ahora existe una gran posibilidad de que esto sea posible, buscaremos el consenso de todo el partido justicialista para poder comandar los destinos de esta ciudad. Sabemos que los vecinos saben del trabajo y el esfuerzo que vengo haciendo en estos últimos ocho años por lo que estoy en condiciones de poder afrontar esto”, indicó.
En este sentido afirmó “hay descontento por parte de muchos compañeros que sienten no fueron escuchados dentro del espacio que formamos parte, y esta fue una de las cosas que me llevó a escuchar todas las propuestas.” Ademas confirmó que habló con el Intendente de Ushuaia, Walter Vuoto, y tiene el apoyo para esta candidatura, “siempre hubo contacto con el y eso es importante para esta nueva experiencia”.
Ante el sorpresivo anuncio de Abregu un reconocido profesional de Rio Grande, sobre su postulacion, deja en claro que al actual intendente Martin Perez, hay varios sectores internos que no están de acuerdo con su gestión, la cual incluso estuvo vinculada a varios hechos judiciales protagonizado por funcionarios municipales que finalmente quedaron en la nada, pero que dejaron al descubierto el accionar financiero del Municipio de Rio Grande, los cuales se manejaban con tarjetas de crédito corporativa que fueron usadas en beneficio propio por personas allegadas a la gestion Perez.
También se le reprocha al intendente Martin Perez, su neutralidad política en los temas nacionales, dejar de lado a militantes históricos y darle espacio dentro de la gestión a funcionarios municipales que venían del periodo Melella como intendente.
