Los beneficiarios son alumnos y docentes de los establecimientos educativos “Los Alakalufes”, “Las Lengas” y “La Bahía”.
El intendente Walter Vuoto acompañado por la secretaria de Cultura y Educación de la Municipalidad de Ushuaia, Belén Molina, encabezó el acto de entrega de notebooks al alumnado y personal docente de las escuelas experimentales “Los Alakalufes”, “Las Lengas” y “La Bahía”.
En la oportunidad, el rector del Instituto de Educación Superior Terra Nova, Sebastián Puig Ubios, manifestó que “estamos muy contentos con esta nueva entrega y nos alegra que Walter nos visite personalmente porque es un gran amigo de la casa”.
Vale mencionarse que entre el mes de noviembre del año pasado y la fecha, los chicos y docentes que concurren a los tres establecimientos educativos municipales mencionados recibieron un total de 625 notebooks.
Durante la entrega, Walter Vuoto le dijo a los niños beneficiarios de los modernos equipos fabricados con tecnología de punta en Tierra del Fuego: “Espero que cada una de estas netbooks sea una herramienta de transformación y una puerta que los conduzca a un mundo de nuevas e ilimitadas posibilidades. Que cada uno de ustedes se la apropie, y la use para estudiar, para aprender, para divertirse, para crear, para experimentar, para descubrir, para jugar y para conectarse. Disfruten de estas netbooks, aprovéchenlas y sobre todo aprendan que el único límite es el de su imaginación”.
Dirigiéndose a los docentes, el titular del Ejecutivo municipal reflexionó: “Sabemos que es posible volver a ponernos de pie, volver a dar un mensaje de esperanza y a encender la luz de la transformación en los corazones”.
Por su parte, la secretaria de Cultura y Educación, Belén Molina, sostuvo que “vivimos este momento con mucha emoción porque con esta última entrega cubrimos en su totalidad el Programa Conectar Igualdad Ushuaia que promovió el intendente Walter Vuoto con recursos propios del Municipio, para brindarle a niños y maestros la accesibilidad e igualdad de posibilidades en lo que se refiere al acceso a las nuevas tecnologías”.
La funcionaria subrayó también que “es fundamental invertir en infraestructura para que los chicos tengan acceso a las nuevas tecnologías y se puedan incorporar a la era digital”.
En tal sentido, el rector Puig Ubios agregó que “esta es una iniciativa muy importante ya que los chicos utilizan las computadoras todo el tiempo. Esta acción permite igualar en derechos porque muchos niños no tienen computadoras y sus familias no pueden comprarles una; pero afortunadamente hay un Estado municipal presente que lo hace posible”.
El directivo del Instituto de Formación de docentes afirmó a continuación que “los chicos acceden a una tecnología que ya es parte de su vida, por eso le decía al intendente que es tan importante hacer cloacas como entregar computadoras a los chicos. Nosotros ya estamos grandes, pero el mundo que ellos van a vivir es este, el de la tecnología”.
Finalmente los padres presentes en el acto coincidieron en señalar que “agradecemos al Municipio de Ushuaia en primer término porque cumplió con la palabra empeñada y en segundo lugar, porque la posibilidad que se le brinda a nuestros hijos de contar con una computadora personal les permite estar conectados al mundo virtual, tan fundamental en los tiempos que corren”.
