El jefe de Gabinete de la Municipalidad de Ushuaia, Omar Becerra, participó de una reunión con el presidente de la fundación Banco Patagónico de Alimentos, Pablo Nogués, así como la secretaria de Políticas Sociales, Sanitarias y Derechos Humanos, Sabrina Marcucci, el concejal Gabriel De La Vega, el secretario del CECU, Pablo García, la referente local del Club de Leones y personal del supermercado La Anónima de la ciudad.
Becerra destacó que “esta articulación es parte del trabajo que el intendente Walter Vuoto nos pide, fomentar este círculo virtuoso para darle mejor llegada al recurso y trabajo que estas instituciones hacen”.
La actividad, que involucró el establecimiento de una agenda de trabajo conjunto, permitió además conocer, según Becerra, “el importante rol multidimensional que el Banco lleva adelante. Además de asistencia alimentaria, ofrecen capacitaciones de oficios a las personas en situación de vulnerabilidad en la Patagonia”.
En esa misma línea el jefe de Gabinete destacó que “vamos a estar acompañando esta labor que se viene del Club de Leones y el Banco de Alimentos, ofreciendo nuestra propia experiencia así como las capacidades técnicas que la gestión ha desarrollado en pos de estar más cerca de nuestros vecinos y vecinas”.
“Como siempre remarca Walter, este tipo de iniciativas hay que encararlas con mucha alegría y responsabilidad, pensando en generar redes en nuestra comunidad, articulando con el sector privado, los gremios y las instituciones” finalizó el funcionario municipal.
