Cierre del aeropuerto de Ushuaia.
El secretario de Turismo de la Municipalidad de Ushuaia, Gustavo Ventura, dialogó con la prensa, sobre el operativo que desplegaron luego de que la Administración Nacional de Aviación Civil decidiera cerrar el aeropuerto por la intensa nevada del fin de semana.
Ventura narró que generaron “contacto con los hoteles para que puedan dormir al lugar donde estuvieron hospedados. Personalmente estuve en una mesa de crisis junto a London Supply, el Gobierno, la PSA y las compañías aéreas. Todos pudimos colaborar para que los pasajeros estén contenidos”.
En esta línea, el funcionario consideró que “lo mejor que se pudo hacer es ir y que sepan, de primera mano, que no era una cuestión de la ciudad o la línea aérea. Era un tema meteorológico y sus vidas corrían riesgo si se operaba. No tuvimos ninguna situación de violencia, porque íbamos con una solución. Nos ocupamos de la reubicación en el hospedaje y coordinamos buses de aeropuerto al centro”.
“Les dimos la posibilidad de pasar algún día más. Les ofrecimos atenciones, porque lo más importante es cuidar el destino Ushuaia. Hay que hacer todos los esfuerzos para que esto sea un hecho y que la estadía sea buena, más allá de esta vicisitud”, continuó.
“Personalmente, como secretario y bajo la mirada del intendente, buscamos que pasajeros y turistas estén contenidos”.
Asimismo, manifestó estar de acuerdo “con la decisión de ANAC de haber dado el cierre hasta las 7 de la mañana del lunes. Ya con el aeropuerto abierto comenzaron a normalizarse las cuestiones. Se colocaron los Airbus grandes, para que el despacho sea más rápido”.
Y celebró que “la situación está casi normalizada y este primer dispositivo fue muy bueno y necesario para que los turistas sigan eligiendo Ushuaia por el destino, la contención y el acompañamiento”.
Ventura también señaló que, “más allá del esfuerzo enorme que hacemos para limpiar calles y abrir accesos, hemos dado respuesta y fue muy bien recibida por los medios nacionales”.
Por otro lado, reflexionó sobre el valor de la nieve para el destino y la definió como “una bendición”: “Es parte de lo que elegimos. Hace muchos años se perdió la tradición de los muñecos de nieve. Ahora recibimos más de 800 fotos”, dijo.
A lo que agregó que “es muy importante conectar con cosas que tienen que ver con nosotros. Vemos que realmente la gente se engancha. Es una celebración. La gente se queja por la calle con nieve y se entiende, pero es una fiesta para el turismo y las familias”.
“Tenemos un entorno natural que debe ser cuidado. Tenemos que hacer todo para poner estas cosas sobre la mesa y visibilizarlas. Hay que invitar a los vecinos a amigarse con la nieve”, siguió.
