El Hospital Regional Ushuaia incorporó un nuevo ecógrafo móvil que será destinado para cardiología en el área de internación. El equipo fue donado por el Gobierno Nacional en el marco del Plan Nacional de Cardiopatías Congénitas.
La Jefa de la Unidad de Cardiología Pediátrica del Hospital Regional Ushuaia, Paola Jacobi, informó que el equipo será utilizado para “pacientes pediátricos y adultos en el sector de internación hasta tanto se concrete la ampliación del HRU”.
La bioingeniera de la firma Digimed, Albana Guiffrey, indicó que se trata de un moderno equipo que cuenta con su carro de transporte y una impresora de ecografías. Señaló que se trata de “un equipo de alta gama, de la marca Mindray modelo MX7. Se pueden realizar estudios avanzados en cardiología neonatal, pediátrica y adulto; además de aplicaciones completas en el área ecógrafica”.
El equipo fue gestionado hace dos años por el Gobierno de la Provincia ante la Nación. Fueron 40 los ecógrafos que se distribuyeron a diversas provincias y localidades del país con el propósito de que en esos lugares se puedan realizar estudios avanzados de cardiología pediátrica.
Jacobi sostuvo que el aparato móvil permite realizar estudios de ecocardiografía strain, es decir “evaluar la función miocárdica en los casos de pacientes que hayan sufrido miocarditis” y poder valorar la función del músculo del corazón.
“También permite realizar estudios de eco estrés, para evaluar la función cardiaca sometiendo a un esfuerzo. Esto es necesario en pacientes que hayan sufrido un infarto generado a través de un esfuerzo físico. Son dos programas de cardiología avanzada necesarios hoy día para la evaluación cardiológica”, resaltó Guiffrey.
