Se trata de nuevos Agentes de Policía, Cadetes Ayudantes y Oficiales del Servicio Penitenciario Provincial.
El gobernador de Tierra del Fuego, Gustavo Melella, acompañado por la Ministra de Gobierno, Justicia y Derechos Humanos, Adriana Chapperón y el Jefe de Policía, Comisario General Jacinto Rolón, encabezó el acto de graduación de 146 nuevos agentes de la Policía de la Provincia y el Servicio Penitenciario.
En el acto estuvieron presentes también la ministra de Obras y Servicios Públicos, Gabriela Castillo; el secretario de enlace con las Fuerzas de Seguridad, José Díaz; el director del Servicio Penitenciario, Claudio Cánovas; el Secretario de Protección Civil, Daniel Facio junto a autoridades de las fuerzas de seguridad.
Durante la ceremonia se graduaron 40 Oficiales quienes han alcanzado el título terciario de Técnico Superior en Seguridad Pública y Ciudadana. En el mismo evento se promocionaron 94 agentes de policía quienes han culminado con éxito su trayectoria formativa profesional y cuentan con la aprobación del primer año de la tecnicatura superior. También se destaca la incorporación de una nueva promoción de 12 oficiales penitenciarios, quienes son técnicos superiores especializados.
Al dirigirse a los graduados, el Gobernador Melella expresó que “hoy tiene que ser un día de celebración por todo el esfuerzo personal, ya que dejaron a sus padres, dejaron a los novios y novias, también hijos por estar hoy alcanzando este logro y eso vale muchísimo”.
“Es cierto que son policías, pero sobre todo son personas, son varones y mujeres que sienten, que sufren, que van a tener problemas seguramente, pero cuando estén mal por algún motivo, tienen que tener presente este momento, porque si lograron pasar todo el proceso de formación, estoy seguro que pueden superar cualquier cosa”, enfatizó.
En el mismo sentido, el mandatario aseguró que “nada los tiene que desanimar en la vida, porque ustedes se formaron como policías y como servidores públicos. Ser un servidor público significa que son capaces de hacer lo que van a realizar todos los días, arriesgar su propia vida por la de los demás”.
Por su parte, durante su discurso la Ministra Chapperón afirmó que “a partir de hoy ustedes tendrán la inmensa responsabilidad de tener a su cargo el cuidado de la seguridad de todos los vecinos y las vecinas de Tierra del Fuego”.
“Han tenido la vocación de llevar adelante esta profesión tan noble, que demanda mucho esfuerzo, responsabilidad, disciplina, empatía y templanza. Sus uniformes los diferencian y los empoderan, úsenlos con humildad, no pierdan nunca la capacidad de ser justos, tengan en cuenta que durante toda su vida deberán trabajar respetando la Ley, pero también respetando de manera irrestricta los derechos humanos y garantías constitucionales”, aseveró la funcionaria provincial.
Por último, el Comisario Rolón también se dirigió a los graduados y enfatizó en que “la realidad actual indica que nos encontramos ante tiempos cambiantes y complejos, donde será necesario poner a prueba la templanza, la fortaleza, la unidad y, sobre todo, la solidaridad con nuestro prójimo”.
“En este nuevo periodo, cada uno de ustedes tendrá un papel de suma importancia en la consolidación de una sociedad segura y pacífica, donde tendrán la responsabilidad de ser agentes de cambio, siempre junto a nuestra gente”, concluyó el Jefe de Policía.
