El intendente de Ushuaia Walter Vuoto, designó a Eduardo Barrientos al frente de la Secretaría de Gobierno de la Municipalidad de Ushuaia, motivo por el cual mantuvieron una reunión a fin de dar inicio al trabajo que llevará adelante en dicha área.
El Jefe Comunal destacó «la incorporación de Barrientos al gabinete municipal en un lugar tan importante como es la Secretaría de Gobierno. Estoy seguro que con Eduardo (Barrientos) sumaremos una mirada y una experiencia importante al trabajo que llevó a cabo Yésica (Garay) durante su gestión al frente de la Secretaría y le daremos continuidad a los ejes de trabajo implementados”.
“La trayectoria de Eduardo incluye cargos electivos provinciales y a nivel ejecutivo, además de ejercer cargos partidarios locales y provinciales. Es importante considerando los tiempos que se avecinan y en los que la combinación de la experiencia con la juventud seguramente van a dar lugar a una tercera gestión a la altura de los desafíos que vamos a enfrentar», valoró el Intendente.
Barrientos es un militante y dirigente del PJ de Ushuaia, que ha ocupado diversos cargos en la esfera partidaria y cargos electivos. Legislador mandato cumplido (mc) del PJ entre 2011 y 2015 y secretario administrativo de la Convención Constituyente encargada de la reforma que dio lugar a la Nueva Carta Orgánica Municipal sancionada en 2022, Barrientos aporta una mirada renovadora en función de la experiencia política y décadas de trabajo junto a los vecinos y las vecinas de la ciudad.
