Cerraron el aeropuerto de Ushuaia y suspendieron todos los vuelos el día domingo por el temporal de nieve, se estima que recién este lunes este operativo. La acumulación de nieve en la pista de aterrizaje imposibilitó la llegada de aviones y debieron cancelar la programación del día.
Según el Servicio Meteorológico Nacional, el clima continuará así los próximos días. Se trata de la mayor nevada de la temporada. Las precipitaciones que se produjeron en los últimos días y se combinaron con ráfagas de viento, originando voladeros y cubriendo de blanco la totalidad del tejido urbano.
La paralización de actividades en el Aeropuerto Malvinas Argentinas se debe a que la pista de aterrizaje dejó de estar operativa por una gran acumulación de nieve.
La intensa nevada produjo innumerables inconvenientes en la circulación vehicular, especialmente en las zonas más altas próximas a las montañas.
Cientos de vehículos quedaron atascados en las calles, incluyendo colectivos y automóviles afectados al servicio de transporte. En ese sentido, equipos de la Dirección Nacional de Vialidad trabajan en el despeje de la Ruta 3, la única vía de comunicación terrestre con el norte provincial.
El municipio de Ushuaia desplegó un operativo de limpieza, con camiones y máquinas que tuvo como objetivo el despeje de un “circuito prioritario” para asegurar el tránsito en las avenidas y calles principales.
De todas formas, las autoridades recordaron la obligatoriedad de los automovilistas y transportistas de circular con cubiertas de invierno o cadenas, según el caso, a la vez que recomendaron no salir a la ruta salvo casos de necesidad.
