En una histórica definición por penales que incluyó 26 remates, Camioneros venció 11-10 a Mercantil tras el 2-2 en la etapa regular y festejó por segunda edición consecutiva en la Copa Ushuaia de la Liga Ushuaiense. De esta forma se convierte en el único club que pudo revalidar la corona y sigue siendo el más ganador de todos.
Tarde pero seguro. Finalmente llegó a su cierre el segundo certamen local de la temporada en la Liga Ushuaiense, la Copa Ushuaia, con un fin de semana de mucha actividad puesto que el sábado se jugaron las semifinales y el domingo fue momento de la gran final.
Con transmisión de MZL Deportes, los dos cruces sabatinos mantuvieron la incógnita hasta los últimos instantes, con Comercio y Camioneros saliendo en primer turno a reeditar la definición del Torneo Apertura “Nestor Puebla”.
Fue un duelo de hacha y tiza, abriendo el tanteador en la etapa complementaria recién los naranjas a través de Aaron Champonnay quien definió con jerarquía ante el achique de Italo Gómez mientras que la igualdad llegó por intermedio de Walter Hidalgo cuando sólo restaban 28 segundos para el pitazo definitivo con arquero jugador.
Así las cosas hubo que ir a los penales donde nadie falló hasta el último lanzamiento. Camioneros estaba arriba 5-4 y fue Jonatan Kosciuk quien cruzó su remate pero se fue ancho desatando la locura del dueño de casa.
A continuación salieron a la cancha los elencos de Ateneo y Mercantil, imponiendo el primero Leandro Quevedo para los de azul tras un robo en primera línea sobre Seveca y rápidamente Maximiliano Toro aprovecharía un balón largo para definir ante Nicoliello estampando el segundo.
Ateneo salió a buscarlo en el complemento y fue Mauro Quevedo el que puso el 1-2, pero Nelson González enganchó, remató al arco y en el rebote fue Maxi Toro el que clavó el 3-1 para volver a establecer una diferencia de dos goles que Franco González se encargaría de recortar con arquero-jugador en los últimos minutos. Nada cambió y Mercantil se metió en la definición por tercera edición en cinco disputadas.
Ya el domingo, desde las 20 y en el “Gigante del Sur”, se vieron las caras Camioneros con Mercantil en la búsqueda de inscribir su nombre en la historia. Lo ganaba 1-0 el local con un tanto del “Pajaro” Lemul a la salida del lateral, igualó Nelson Pérez en una situación similar para los del CECU y Leandro Quevedo torció la balanza a favor de los comandados por Luis Vargas en una jugada veloz donde define por debajo de la humanidad de Italo Gómez.
Sobre el cierre, cuando quedaban poco y con arquero-jugador, Joaquin Gatica desató la locura de la parcialidad del verde clavando el 2-2 que llevó las cosas a los penales. Maratónicos, sin dudas, porque se ejecutaron 13 por lado.
En la serie de cinco comienza errando el dueño de casa con los fallos de Oberti e Hidalgo, pero cuando parecía que Mercantil festejaba, Italo Gómez agigantó su protagonismo tapando dos consecutivos a Toro y Salcedo. Se sucedieron los efectivos hasta que Gómez se lo saca a Nelson González y Nelli con templanza coloca el 11-10 con el cual Camioneros festeja el bicampeonato en la Copa Ushuaia.
Lucho Montiel: “No podíamos dejar escapar esta chance”
El entrenador del bicampeón, Luciano Montiel, dialogó en exclusiva tras la conquista y manifestó: “Sabíamos que no se podía escapar esta chance, habíamos perdido la posibilidad de disputar la final de la etapa provincial de la Copa Argentina ante Ateneo por circunstancias ajena a nosotros, luego la final del local se nos escapa a nada de terminar el partido y jugamos el playoffs del Patagónico de la LNFA también resignando la victoria por muchos factores propios. Era una nueva oportunidad, algo que no queríamos dejar pasar”.
“Así como en la semifinal tuvimos que utilizar hasta el último segundo que nos quedaba para llegar a la igualdad, en esta final se dio la misma circunstancia, nosotros buscando el empate y el rival cerrado atrás defendiendo su diferencia. Afortunadamente a falta de un minuto y medio pudimos encontrar el empate jugando con arquero jugador cuando era a todo o nada, fiel a nuestro estilo”, agregó.
Y cerró diciendo que “gracias a Willy que atajó dos seguidos y nos dejó en partido pudimos llevarnos los penales, que son una lotería donde la táctica ya queda de lado”.
